For this reason, the families’ accompaniment is carried out 24 hours a day, which includes participation in nursing activities that help to prepare parents for post-discharge care, it means, at home.

Education is provided by the physician in charge and/or nursing staff according to the individual needs of each patient. We also provide education on specific topics that apply to all patients such as hands washing, isolation treatment, management of accessories for therapeutic use such as catheters and fall prevention. Within the information provided, there are included topics such as standards established in the unit, medical and nursing round, schedules for medications, evacuation routes, administrative processes, among others.
